Adjust the term of the loan

Terms of loans can vary from 12 months up to 7 years for some structured caravan loans. 

Options to add a balloon

Loan products may include a residual or balloon payment which is payable at the end of the credit term. This is a percentage of the original loan total and can vary from as little as 10% to say 30-40%. The higher the residual, the lower the monthly repayments but you will pay more interest.

Be mindful that the finance calculator only handles interest rates and residuals. It does not take into account fees and charges associated with loans, as these can vary between lenders.

Why does the calculator only give estimates?   

A generic finance calculator provides a rough estimate on repayments and not an exact figure. The calculator works out repayments based purely on the loan amount entered, the interest rate entered and the loan term. It does not take into account specifics around individual loan applicants. When assessing applicants to derive a loan quote, including repayments, lenders will consider the credit profile and other factors of the applicant. These will affect the interest rate for the loan and therefore the repayments. The calculator does not have the ability to take these human, personal aspects into the mathematical calculations. Use the calculator as a great tool and as a guide and for a more specific quote contact a lender.

Am I obligated to proceed with an application if I use the calculator?   

No. The calculator is purely a very useful resource which we provide for caravan buyers to use in planning their purchase and loan. It is open to anyone to use and can be used from any device where and when you can connect to the internet. It is provided as a resource free of charge and no obligation is attached to its use. When you use this calculator you are under no obligation to continue with a loan application or even with a caravan purchase.

Is the calculator a loan application?   

No. The calculator is only a device or function to calculate rough repayment estimates on the figures that users enter. It is in no way an application form for a loan. Receiving an estimate on the calculator is not an indication that you have applied for a loan, your application has been approved or that the result represents a loan offer. In order to apply for a loan for any type of caravan, you will need to complete our application form and provide all the required information and documents as set out by ASIC under the consumer credit laws. On receipt of your completed application form, your consultant will submit your application to source you a loan quote.

How do I know the interest rate to enter?   

The calculator has fields for you to input data in regard to the amount you want to borrow which is usually the purchase price of the caravan, the loan term you would like to repay the loan and the interest rate. Unfortunately you can not select whatever rate you would like.
